ACTIVITIES....

 

Dear Layla Lynn,

 

 

It's starting to get colder outside, winter is on its way.  You and Momma have been keeping warm inside doing one of your favorite activites......COLORING

 

 

 

Your favorite coloring books are your Disney Princess'.  They also come with over 600 stickers!  Waaa hooo!

 

 



 

We never stay too long on one page...Momma thinks you just love to look at and color all the princess'.

 

Momma found some magic finger paint for you...You now LOVE to finger paint.

 

Such an artist!  Momma will think of more activites to do together this winter....

HAPPY HALLOWEEN.....

Happy Halloween Layla

 

 

Today was your third Halloween....I bet you can guess what you dressed up as....YEP, A ladybug.  Momma says she'll dress you as a ladybug till you tell her what you want to be.  You are the CUTEST ladybug EVER!

 

 

Your FIRST Halloween....

You and Momma kept busy to keep the time going fast so we could go TRICK-OR-TREATING.

 

 

You insisted on wearing your flip flops with your outfit...

 

 

And even gave Momma a pair to wear.

 

 

 

And who could forget sunglasses to go with a ladybug outfit?!

 

 

You and Momma baked cookies for a fun treat.

 

 

Even Walter dressed up...

 

 

 

 

 And Bo too.

 

 

Dramma came over to pass out candy at our house so we could take you around the block.

She brought over her Halloween makeup so we could put the finishing touches on our ladybug costumes...

 

Momma and you look cute huh?!

 

You helped Dramma with her makeup.

 

Finally we were off to Trick-Or-Treat.

 

 

 

 

You were so cute!  I would ring the door bell, immediately after you would knock on the door and yell, "KNOCK, KNOCK!"

 

Momma would have to remind you to say "Trick-orTreat", but you were right back saying, "THANK YOU!!"  We love that you're so kind and polite!

 

 

As we walked to another house you giggled and yelled, "I LOVE TRICK-OR-TREATING!"  We were so thrilled you were having a good time.

 

Papa didn't have time to dress up with us, but we had a blast anyways!

 

 

When we finally got home you were quick to show Dramma all the goodies you got.

 

You look like you had a GREAT Halloween Laylabug!

 

Momma and Papa can't wait till next year for another Halloween with you!

GETTING BUSY.....

Dear Layla,

 

 

Girl, you and your Momma have been busy, busy, busy.  And you have been getting busy with learning new phrases and words like, "It's so cute!" and "Are you scared? Why?" and "Pumpkin" and "Beautiful" WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU! Momma took you to get your 2 year check up at your doctors.  You are growing perfectly, you're 34.1 inches tall and weigh 30 pounds. 

 

Momma took you to see Kristine to get your hair done.....

 

 

Just a little trim..You and Momma are growing their hair out long and pretty.

 

Two cutie Blondies...

 

You love cuddle time with Momma in the afternoons...Momma loves that you love to snuggle...and hopes you always will.

 

We sure have fun with you on rides in the car...Usually to see Aunt Tammi or Dramma...

 

And who can forget fun weekends with Uncle Jeremy!

 

Something very special happened on October 26 at 6pm....Your new little cousin Delilah Sage Gray was born.

Your Great Aunt Helen is in love....We can't wait to meet this precious girl!  You will have a new friend to play with.

 

We carved pumpkins this last weekend.  You weren't that into it, but stuck around to watch Papa, Momma, and Uncle Jeremy get gooey and slimey...

 

We gave you your markers to color your pumpkin...

 

But really you were more interested in what the rest of us were doing.

 

"Look in there Layla..Pumpkin brains...eeeewww."

Papa is silly!

 



 

After you saw us pick our pumpkin pictures you had to have one for yours...Decisions, decisions.

 

"EEEWWWW"

 

Momma did the 1st "Swirly" pumpkin, Papa did the 2nd "Bo" pumpkin, Uncle Jeremy did the 3rd "Bat" pumpkin, and yours was the "Ladybug" pumpkin of course, that Papa carved for you.  You call them LaylaBugs....

 

We can't wait till Halloween to take you Trick-or-Treating for your first time!!

 

 

Papa came home from work today and promised to take you on your first ride in the truck...You were so excited.

 

Papa just drove you around the block, but that was enough for you to really fall in love....

HOW SWEET IT IS TO BE LOVED BY YOU.....

Dear Layla...LAYLA WHO IS 2!  Waaa hoooo...

 

 

Momma and Papa have been so busy planning your birthday surprises we haven't been able to write you in a couple weeks....

 

Will start here.  You tried your first banana split...You had a few bites but weren't overly thrilled...

 

 

 

Dramma loves capturing silly pictures of you...You are too cute!

 

 

 

 

Momma loves dressing you up pretty....

 

 

MeMe sent us a ladybug stamp..I showed you how it works...You of course thought it would be prettier on your body...

 

 

Papa started more home projects this month...you dove right in to help him every chance you got....

 

 

 

Our new breakfast nook...You love crawling and playing on the new bench...

 

 

 

Pop-ay called a couple months ago and said he was SURPRISING MeMe with ticktes to come to your Birthday....She was so sad thinking she wasn't coming out....We were very sneaky...

 

 

SURPRISE SURPRISE....We picked them up at the airport on your Birthday!!! 

 

 

Momma and Papa planned a great party for you, we themed it to cupcakes.

 

 

 

 

You loved decorating your cupcake and of course eating it....

 

We spoiled you with lots of gifts and love...

 

 

Dramma, Uncle Jeremy, and Elliot got you a new Princess computer and other goodies...Aunt Tammi and Aunt Helen got you a princess dress and other goodies...

 

 

 

 

 

One of your absolute favorite gifts was from MeMe and Pop-ay...A PLAY KITCHEN
