PLAY DATES....

 

 

Dear Layla,

 

We went and spent Thursday morning with your cousin Delilah, you call her "The BeBe".  You absolutely love her.  You know she's still small and to be extra careful around her.



 

You're such a goof ball!  You danced around the house yelling, "Waa Hoo let's go see the BeBe!"

 

 

 

She shared her blocks with you.  You showed her how they can be stacked on top of each other and then knocked down.

 

 

She was all giggles when we were there.

 

You and her crawled into her tent and played together for awhile.

 

You found her phone and taught her how to answer is when it rings.

 



 

You are such a great helper!  Once Delilah got fussy you knew it was time for a bottle, or in your words a "BaBa".

 

We are excited for more play dayes with this sweet little "BeBe"!

VERY SNEAKY....

 

 

Dear Layla Bug,

 

 

You've learned that you can pretty much get yourself whatever you like from the fridge since you discovered how to open up the refrigerator door.  Usually you bring us your drink cup and whatever you want to drink from the fridge. 

 

Yesterday you realized that "sicles" (your word for popsicles) are kept in the freezer.  You're still too little to open up the freezer door so you dragged over a kitchen table chair, hopped on it, pulled open the door and retrieved yourself a sicle.  I think Momma and Papa are in trouble.

When Momma or Papa takes a quick shower you rummage through Momma's closet for your favorite pair of shoes.

A NICE LONG WEEKEND...

 

 

 

Dear Layla,

 

 

We had a great relaxing weekend together as a family.  Papa had 4! days off of work to play with us.  On Friday Papa went out and got you a kiddie pool.  You were so excited!  We waited patiently inside for him to set it up.  You kept saying, "Waaa hooo!!  C'mon let's go to the pool!"

 

 

The weather this weekend was super nice.  You and Momma soaked up some good sun rays.  Every morning we'd wake up and ask Papa to open the pool so we could go swim. 

 

You jumped right in every time.

 

You have become quite fond of chocolate soy milk.  We took many chocolate milk breaks through out each day. 

 

Monday got really warm really fast.  By 11 am you were ready for a nice rest so Momma pulled out a blanket for you to lay on in the shade. 

 

Papa even joined you for awhile.

 

You were so nice to share your NiNi with Papa.

 

After swim time on Saturday and Sunday Dramma took you to the park to feed the duckies.  Dramma said you were so cute.  At one point you yelled, "Hi Duckies!  Duckies Come here now! Right now!  Do you want a spankin'?"  Hahaha!  You're too silly.

 

46 days till we are home in OHIO!!!  We can't wait!!

TIME FOR WARM DAYS AND LOTS OF PLAY!



 

Dear Layla Lynn,

 

 

Can you believe it's summer already?!  Momma's spring semester is finally done.  WOO HOO!!!!  Now we have so much more time to play outside. 

 

We have had the best few months with you.  Momma and Papa can't believe how much you've grown and how many new words and phrases you've learned.  We are so incredibly proud of you! 

 

Right now we are counting down the days to go to ... MEME & POP-AY'S HOUSE!!!  YAY!!  We will be staying 10 days in Ohio.  You are going to meet so many great friends and family.  And who could forget the new memories we'll make with Mya, Sarah, Molly, and Cayden......

 

 

 This year we stayed in Colorado for Easter since we decided to go to Ohio in July.  We missed our traditional Easter's we have had in Florida.  

The Easter bunny made you an egg maze from your room upstairs all the way downstairs through the kitchen.  You were so excited.  We had you pick up all the eggs till you got to...  

 

 

Your Princess Easter basket.  It was filled with much needed Princess stuff...hehehe...

 

Totally cool!  Right? 

Papa taught you how to thumbs up...You're too cute!

 

You always know how to make Momma and Papa laugh...

 

The weather here has finally started to warm up.  We had a great family day one saturday playing mini golf.  You played one hole then became mesmerized with the decor on the course.  Momma and Papa just let you do your thing and we played for you. 

Papa tried to show you how to putt....You didn't like that.  You're always telling us that you need to try it on your own or you'll never learn!  Well really you say, "No, don't touch!"  ha!

 



 

We've had many many days at the park this spring.  You still love to swing and say, "Weeeee" everytime.

 

Momma is so thrilled you love to wear hats now.  When you were younger you ripped them all off and said NO!  Now you're almost always wearing a hat.

 

 

Even things that aren't hats...you make into hats.  Silly girl!

 

You've finally come over your fears of the slides at the park.  You fearlessly fly down them in excitement.

 

 Aunt Tammi recently told us she's moving to Wyoming.  It's about a 6-8 hour drive away.  Momma is very sad but excited she's going to be happy.  You absolutely love your Aunt Tammi!  Much needed TLC will happen before she leaves...

 

You're still rockin' your sunglasses!

 

Momma and Papa found a frozen yogurt place close to our house...YOU LOVE IT!!!  Many more frozen yogurt trips should be expected this hot summer.

You still rip bows out of your hair, but sure like rockin' the headbands.

 



 

Your laugh and smile is and always will put a smile on everyones face. 

 

Papa's softball league has started up again.  He plays spring, summer, and fall.  We try to go to every game.  You love rooting him on!  Momma and Dramma taught you to clap your hands and yell, "GO PAPA!  YAY!!"

What's Momma's is yours right...Those glasses look familar...hmmmmm

 

Who could forget your snuggle times with Papa.
