OUR LITTLE PHOTOGRAPHER...

Dear Layla Lynn,

Can you believe it's already THANKSGIVING this week?!  We are going to head up to Great Grandma and Grandpa's place Thanksgiving morning and stay the day!  We did get all your Christmas shopping done and met with Santa to discuss presents for our Layla Bug.  We can't wait for Christmas morning!

You're doing so incredibly good in school, your teacher told Momma that they had put you in an upper class one day since you are doing so well!  They said they'd let Momma know if they decide to put in the upper class permanently.  We are so PROUD Layla Lynn!

One of your favorite activities is playing on Momma's phone.  One day Momma went to look at a previous picture and found these...

Duck Face!

You are too hilarious!!! Momma loved all the selfies you took and Papa laughed hysterically.

Walter loves taking pictures with you too....well maybe not a lot..

We put our Christmas Tree up, it's probably too soon for some people but Momma didn't care!!!
You thought each ornament was "Beautiful" and helped till it was all done.

Momma and Papa absolutely love the holidays now that they have you!

We had our final Orthopedic appointment for your arm.  You were too cute...As soon as Dr. K came in you immediately told him you wanted a green cast this time.  He just laughed and said you didn't need one, but loved your spirit.  Momma took more celebratory pictures..

Momma came to bed the other night and saw this...
Her two greatest gifts...

We recently celebrated Dramma's Birthday!  We baked her a small cake and spent the whole day with her and had brunch at our favorite restaurant...Dream CafĂ©.

You just love any time spent with Dramma!

Love, Love, Love you Layla!!!

Love,
Momma&Papa

HALLOWEEN 2013....

Dear LaylaBug,

That's just it...Momma said you'd always be a ladybug for Halloween until you told her NO MORE!  Momma thought she still had at least one more year of LaylaBug for Halloween...she was wrong.  You're just so cute as a ladybug!

Your 1st Halloween...

Your 2nd Halloween...

Your 3rd Halloween.  This year we took you Trick-or-Treating.  You had so much fun!  And were the talk of the neighborhood.

I'd ring the doorbell and right after bang on the door.  You knew what worked to get the best candy!

We decorated our pumpkins we got from the pumpkin patch.
Papa cleaned yours out so you could get to decorating.

We found these sticks at the store that look like golf tees.  You stick them in the pumpkin and then put a light inside...

You just wanted to play with the hammer they came with...Even though the hammer didn't work well.  It was still fun though!
You told Momma exactly where you wanted each piece to go.

All done..

It looked like this in the dark.

Momma's pumpkin is on the left, then yours, then Papa's.

The fist part of our Halloween Day was hanging out with this cute girl.  You still just call her baby and love playing with her!

This year Momma and Papa asked what you wanted to be for Halloween.  At first you said a Monster.  Once we got to the costume store...You saw a beautiful Cinderella dress and were SOLD!

Momma did your hair pretty.

And took pre-trick-or-treating photos.

Then we were off.
You and your prince charming!

You weren't into trick-or-treating this year like you were last year.  You were super shy and barely even said trick-or-treat when someone opened their door.

We went around the neighborhood and about 30 minutes in you were ready to go home.  It was cold though.
 (Momma overly excited!)

We went home and watched Nightmare Before Christmas and ordered pizza.  You were acting like you didn't feel good.  Momma thinks she did your hair too tight and gave you a headache.  Once she took your hair out, you were fine!  And so excited about the candy you collected.

It was another fun Halloween and we can't wait till next year.

On another note...What sickness can Layla get this week?!  Momma and Papa woke up last Sunday morning and noticed you were covered in a bad rash.  All over your feet, bottoms of your feet, lower limbs, hands, palms of hands.  We gave you some medicine and Momma left for work.  When she got home she saw you were in mittens and big socks.  Papa said your rash had gotten much worse.  Momma called Dramma over so they could brainstorm about the rash.  They were certain it was from the shampoo that cleans the carpets.  So they rushed you up to the bath, added some baking soda, and you soaked for awhile.  The next morning Momma still saw your bad rash,  it didn't spread and it didn't look so inflamed.  She called your doc and explained everything to them...and got your diagnoses.  FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE!!!  YUCK!! They said you were contagious, but could go to school if you wanted.  Momma didn't like that idea, so she has kept you home.  They say this should clear up on its own in 7-10 days, and gave Momma things to watch out for.  You're acting like you don't even notice the rashes, which is a good thing.  Momma and Papa sure hope this clears up fast!

LOVE,
Momma & Papa

PUMPKIN PATCH FUN....

Dearest Layla Bug,

Momma and Papa finally took you to the pumpkin patch.  You didn't understand the meaning of "pumpkin patch," but knew it must be fun from the excitement in Momma and Papa's voices.

Momma nor Papa have ever been here, but were sure excited when we pulled up...

After we paid our admission we grabbed a wagon and headed for the fun.
The first stop we made was to see the animals the patch had to offer.  You weren't too into the animals,

but said "Hi" anyways..

Momma's favorite were the little piggy's...

We were all wowed by the field of pumpkins.  We're sure there were a lot more pumpkins when they first opened, but we still had many to choose from.

First thing we did was climb to the top of some hay bails to...

A HUGE slide!

Momma was so surprised that you weren't scared of it at all...In fact you pulled Papa down and said, "C'mon!"

"Weeeeeeeeeeee..."

After a few slide rides we made our way over to two huge orange bump 'n jumps.

You were having such a blast!

Ready for a break, we made our way towards the field of pumpkins.

You enjoyed the ride...

You and Papa ventured out to find the perfect pumpkins.

We found one for Papa, one for Momma, and a "Baby pumpkin" for Layla Bug.

And then it was back to jumping...Momma forgot her socks so she wasn't aloud to jump.

And more slide rides.

Papa found another way to get to the top of the slide...

You'll follow him anywhere.

Momma went down the slide a few times too.  It was such a fun afternoon.  Can't wait till we can go again next year.
And guess what?!
Halloween is in 2 days!!!

Kisses and Hugs,
Momma & Papa
