HALLOWEEN 2013....

Dear LaylaBug,

That's just it...Momma said you'd always be a ladybug for Halloween until you told her NO MORE!  Momma thought she still had at least one more year of LaylaBug for Halloween...she was wrong.  You're just so cute as a ladybug!

Your 1st Halloween...

Your 2nd Halloween...

Your 3rd Halloween.  This year we took you Trick-or-Treating.  You had so much fun!  And were the talk of the neighborhood.

I'd ring the doorbell and right after bang on the door.  You knew what worked to get the best candy!

We decorated our pumpkins we got from the pumpkin patch.
Papa cleaned yours out so you could get to decorating.

We found these sticks at the store that look like golf tees.  You stick them in the pumpkin and then put a light inside...

You just wanted to play with the hammer they came with...Even though the hammer didn't work well.  It was still fun though!
You told Momma exactly where you wanted each piece to go.

All done..

It looked like this in the dark.

Momma's pumpkin is on the left, then yours, then Papa's.

The fist part of our Halloween Day was hanging out with this cute girl.  You still just call her baby and love playing with her!

This year Momma and Papa asked what you wanted to be for Halloween.  At first you said a Monster.  Once we got to the costume store...You saw a beautiful Cinderella dress and were SOLD!

Momma did your hair pretty.

And took pre-trick-or-treating photos.

Then we were off.
You and your prince charming!

You weren't into trick-or-treating this year like you were last year.  You were super shy and barely even said trick-or-treat when someone opened their door.

We went around the neighborhood and about 30 minutes in you were ready to go home.  It was cold though.
 (Momma overly excited!)

We went home and watched Nightmare Before Christmas and ordered pizza.  You were acting like you didn't feel good.  Momma thinks she did your hair too tight and gave you a headache.  Once she took your hair out, you were fine!  And so excited about the candy you collected.

It was another fun Halloween and we can't wait till next year.

On another note...What sickness can Layla get this week?!  Momma and Papa woke up last Sunday morning and noticed you were covered in a bad rash.  All over your feet, bottoms of your feet, lower limbs, hands, palms of hands.  We gave you some medicine and Momma left for work.  When she got home she saw you were in mittens and big socks.  Papa said your rash had gotten much worse.  Momma called Dramma over so they could brainstorm about the rash.  They were certain it was from the shampoo that cleans the carpets.  So they rushed you up to the bath, added some baking soda, and you soaked for awhile.  The next morning Momma still saw your bad rash,  it didn't spread and it didn't look so inflamed.  She called your doc and explained everything to them...and got your diagnoses.  FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE!!!  YUCK!! They said you were contagious, but could go to school if you wanted.  Momma didn't like that idea, so she has kept you home.  They say this should clear up on its own in 7-10 days, and gave Momma things to watch out for.  You're acting like you don't even notice the rashes, which is a good thing.  Momma and Papa sure hope this clears up fast!

LOVE,
Momma & Papa

  2. We have that here! Our Audrey, who was also Cinderella for Halloween and also a cute little blonde has 3 painful blisters in her mouth that we are suspecting are part of hand foot and mouth. 3 of her classmates have it. They also have let them come to school, I think that is odd! We have no rash, just the blisters and a miserable little girl.
