Dear Layla Lynn,
Well we made it another year. 2013 had its ups and downs for us, but we are ready to bring in a new fresh start for 2014!
After Thanksgiving we went to Dramma's to help her decorate her tree. You designated one spot of the tree to be yours....
You moved that picture of Elliot a dozen times! It was very funny...
You had your first Christmas performance at school on December 13th. It was the cutest performance Momma and Papa ever saw...Momma will admit she cried when you first walked in and started singing...She can't believe what a beautiful little lady you're becoming.
You and all your friends sang a few Christmas carols....
Then...SURPRISE...Santa came in with gifts for everyone. You got new Disney Princess dolls.
Everyone was so crowded around Santa that Papa couldn't get any pictures...Oh well, maybe next time.
The next day Meme came for her Christmas visit. She stayed at our house for a few days and then we went up to Breckenridge to meet Uncle Danny and Pop-ay.
Meme bought you a new CD/karaoke player. You two had so much fun singing songs together.
It sure was cold in Breckenridge...One day while Papa and Uncle Dan went snowboarding we all stayed in and played UNO. You were Pop-ay's partner. You were very smart and helpful to WIN the game!
Papa's dreams came true....
He got you on a snowboard for the first time and you ROCKED IT!!!
Papa is so excited to get you your very own snowboard and to ride with you every winter.
Pop-ay took us all on a snowmobile ride one day. We all had so much fun. Each of us had our own snowmobile...well not you, you sat in front of Papa. Papa said you would scream and laugh while we zoomed on the trails. On our way back you started getting cold, one kind lady that met us in another group gave us her hand warmers to put in your gloves...They seemed to work great because you fell asleep on they way back!! Papa would scream at you to wake up because he couldn't drive and hold your head up. We all laughed when we heard that.
YOU HAD A BLAST!!! As we all did.
We played in the snow everyday we were there...
We stayed in Breck till Christmas Eve then journeyed home so Santa could come to our house.
Momma and Papa told you to save some cookies for Santa...You took that as licking all the cream on the inside, putting the cookie back together and placing them on the counter. Momma and Papa laughed so hard. Silly girl.
Momma and Papa forgot to snap pics as you opened up gifts on Christmas morning. Shame on us!! But you got tons of great stuff...Lots and lots of Disney Princess things. We are thrilled to uncover what 2014 will bring us! Love you Layla BUG!!
