2014....

Miss Layla Lynn,

Well it has been a busy start to our year!  Momma started school again and has been working a ton at her work.  You're staying busy with school and Papa has been working too.  We always make time for play though..

Momma and Papa are so proud of how well you're doing in school.  You have transferred up a class because the class you were in wasn't challenging you at all.  That called for a giant sucker!!

You still pick on the pups.  They are so good about not getting mad at you for the stuff you do to them...
Poor Bo-Bo.

Elliot came down for the weekend a few weeks ago.  We celebrated Christmas and went out to eat.  You just love him!  You call him "Ell-ut" and always ask when he's coming back to play!

Thankfully his Birthday is in a couple weeks so we will go to his house for a celebration.

While he was here, Dramma finally agreed to getting a pet.  After we had lunch we went to the pet store and came out with this little girl..
She has many names already...Elliot believes she is a boy and calls her Fredrick, Dramma calls her baby, Momma calls her little girl, and you call her Fur Baby.

You're always snapping pictures...Even of yourself.

And the "Fur Baby".

Maybe you'll be a photographer when you grow up ??

Momma finally decided to change up your hair.  You have very beautiful blonde hair, but it is super fine and never stays up unless you have four bottles of hairspray and a lot of hair clips.  And you usually take it out anyways.  So off we went to Momma's hair dresser Kristine.

You did so great, but you were not feeling good at all.  You sat very still and helped Kristine make sure your hair would be beautiful!

Ta-Da!

You LOVE it!  You swish your head back and fourth all the time now.  Momma and Papa think you just look ADORABLE!

Like Momma said you weren't feeling that well at your hair appointment...and neither was Papa, he had been sick at home for days.  The next day Papa came home from the doctor with positive strep.  You were having the same symptoms as he, so Momma called your Doc to get you in ASAP.  The 5 minute test said you were negative for strep, but they sent it off for more testing and it actually was positive.
Poor girl can't get a break!!
After your appointment Momma went to get your prescription and came home with a present for her sick girl.
A doctors kit!  You love it!  Dr. Layla here!

You'd be the best Doctor Layla Bug!

Nothing feels better on a sore throat than ice cream!

While you rested you and Momma did pedicures..

You enjoy getting your nails and feet polished, but pick it off within a day...Crazy kid!

Last weekend while Papa snowboarded, Momma, Dramma and you had a girls day.  We did a little shopping, lunch, then went to Momma's favorite place... The Palette.  It was you and Dramma's first time there, but you both had a blast

Momma decided to let you "Fly Free" with your painting.

You listened for instructions from our teacher...

Momma ended up having to get you another canvas because Dramma and her each wanted one of your paintings.

This was Momma's painting.

And all of ours together!

Papa hung yours and Mamma's paintings in your room.

It has been snowing here so much lately!  We've had a few days off from school too because of the snow...What better to do on a snow day than crafts?!

Valentine's Day is next week, time to make some "Love" cards!

Love you Layla BUG!
